1. Am I able to download the games? Can I get them on CD?

You are able to download the games. All single games and collections are available to download straight to your computer immediately after your purchase is complete. The files are downloaded as zip files (which most computers are able to unzip automatically). If you need a free unzipping program, please check the downloads page for a link to one. We do offer the option to have your order added to a CD and mailed to you for $5.00 if you order a 10 game collection or one of our package deals. Please note that this service is only available for addresses within the United States. Once you have downloaded your games, you can burn them onto a CD so that you have a backup copy. We just ask that you do not share the games with other churches or organizations.

2. Can I modify the games after I buy them?

Yes. The games are not protected by password or locked from editing. If there's a question you don't like, you can remove it. Don't like the animations on one of the slides? Change it from "appear" to "slide from left." In some of the games you can edit the text of the questions or replace the backgrounds if they don't show up well on your screen. Other games have backgrounds that are just a picture of the text and it won't be able to be changed. You do have free range once the game is purchased. But remember, the game is still copyrighted by Point Man Games and cannot be shared, resold or redistributed.

3. Are the games hard to understand? Will I need to practice before using them?

The games are very self explanatory and each one comes with a slide or two of instructions which you can read right along with your youth group when you play the game. You could probably play most of them without having previewed them at all.

Each game comes with detailed instructions that run you through the in's and out's of the game. We do suggest running through it once before hand so you can see when you'll need to click and when the slides have their own animations.

An answer key is provided with each game so you'll know which person or team got it right before the slide shows the answer.

To see how easy they are to use, download the free sample game and give it a try.

4. Can I give the games to my friends for use with their youth groups?

No. With the purchase of a game you have license to use it within your church or organization. The Sr High youth pastor can share it with the Jr High or 6th grade teachers for use at the church. Other youth pastors will need to purchase their own copy of the game. But do feel free to tell them about Point Man Games and let them know about how you've enjoyed using our games with your group.

5. What sparked Einstein's interest in science at the age of five?

A compass. You learn something new each day.

6. My hard drive crashed and I lost the games I bought from you. Do I have to repurchase them?

No, you don't have to buy them again. We have a Games-For-Life Guranatee which means that once you have purchased a game from us, you have that game for life. If you accidentally delete them or lose them in a hard drive meltdown, just sent us an e-mail with your name and general date of original purchase and we'll send you links to redownload the games.

7. I live in another country. Can I purchase and use your games?

Yes, the games should work fine. When you pay through the website, it will convert your currency to US dollars. Due to the strength of other currencies compared to the dollar, you may get a pretty good deal. For those of you here in the states thinking about it, no, it wouldn't be worth it to fly over to the UK just to buy a couple of collections.

8. Can I pay for the games with a check?

Yes, you can. You'll need to print out the mail order form and send it along with your check. Our address is:

Point Man Games
PO Box 35
Johnston, IA 50131

Once the check clears, we will send you a link to download the games.

9. How many questions are in each game and how long do they usually last?

There are usually between 11-13 questions in each game. The length of time the game takes depends on if there is a worksheet to fill out or other preparations for the game as well as how long you give your group to try to come up with the answer for each question. Generally, a game will last around 4 to 7 minutes but some could last 10 minutes or more (such as the Tourney Time games which have tournament brackets to fill out before the game begins).

10. I have an idea for a game. Can I send it to you?

Sure. If it's an original idea that we end up using, you'll get a free copy of the game and your choice of a free collection.

11. What does the name of your site mean?

A "point man" is a person who has a crucial role in the forefront of an enterprise. He's the go-to guy you can rely on when you need expertise in a certain area. That's what we strive to be for you - the go-to place for your PowerPoint quizes, trivia and games. The word "point" is also a play off of PowerPoint.

If you need the "games" part explained, you need a lot more help than we're able to give you.

12. My download link expired before I was able to download the games. What do I do?

Please e-mail us at service@pointmangames.com to let us know that you need the download link re-activated. There is a message that the website gives you when your link has expired. If you copy the link in that message into the e-mail that you send to us, it will help us locate your order faster. You will receive an e-mail from us notifying you that the link has been re-activated and you can attempt to download your games again.
