| “Across
the Gospels” Instructions
The Concept: Players will have to guess how many of the Gospels contain the phrases, stories or events given. Items Needed: Handouts (included as a separate PDF files) Instructions: This game can be an individual game or a team game. To play it as an individual game, pass out the worksheets and have the players keep track of their score as they play. To play it as a team game, split your group into teams and give each team a worksheet and a set of the 1-4 number cards. The individuals or teams will have to provide their answer to each question as it appears. They will guess how many Gospels contain the phrase, story or event. When told to do so by the leader of the game, the players should display their guess so that they can see how the other players voted. Individuals can raise their hand with their fingers showing what number they think the answer is. Teams should decide as a group what answer they will give and then hold up the numbered card. Each person/team starts with 13 points. If they guess the correct answer, no points are subtracted. If they are off by 1, 2 or 3, they subtract that amount from their remaining point total. (Example: A team guesses that the Last Supper is found in 4 Gospels. Since the correct answer is 3, they would subtract 1 point from the points they have left.) The object is to get to the end of the 13 questions with at least 1 point left. Scoring: Players/teams keep track of their own score on the worksheet to see if they can make it to the end with any points left. If you are playing with teams, you could see which team had the highest number of points left. Any questions
