The Concept: Players will decipher clues to find various names of God from the Bible.

Items Needed: Worksheet (included as a separate PDF file)

Instructions: This game can be done on an individual basis or in teams. There are various types of puzzles/clues for the names of God, such as fill-in-the-blank, paraphrase/rewording, rhyming words, and picture clues. Pass out the worksheet to the individual players or teams and start the game. The questions will appear one by one and the answers will not be given until the end. There is an alternate slide show built in to the presentation where the answer is given after each question if you prefer to play it that way. To use the alternate show, go to Slide Show ->Custom Shows… ->Show.

Scoring: One point for each correct answer. Since you’ll have so many players and lots of them will end up tied, there isn’t a tiebreaker. You can ask your group how many got 8 or more right, 9 or more right, etc.
