| “Bible
Math II” Instructions
The Concept: Players will have to figure out the answers to relatively simple math problems based on numbers from the Bible. Items Needed: Number handout (included as a separate PDF file), Bibles (optional) Instructions: This is a team game. Make enough copies of the handouts for each team to have two sets of numbers and cut out the digits. Split your group into teams and give each team two sets of numbers from 0-9 (some answers have double digits, so they will need two 2’s, two 3’s, etc). When a team knows the numerical answer, a runner from the team will try to be the first to the front with the correct digits. If the answer is 341, the person will need to bring the 3, 4 and 1 card up to the front. You could have a chair, stool or table as a base for the teams to try to place the numbers on. In case numbers start flying, it’s best to give each team a letter (A, B, C, etc) and have them write that letter on the back of the cards. If you don’t want to have your kids running to the front, you could have a different person on each team raise the correct digits into the air each question. The team with the numbers in the air the fastest wins. It’s a little harder to judge who’s first this way, but there are less collisions at the front of class (which I personally think is half the fun). If you decide to just have the teams raise the numbers into the air, you can change the instructions on slides 2 and 3 or skip them altogether. Since there are 12 questions, try not to have groups of more than 12 people so that each player is able to be the contestant at least once. Scoring:
One point for each correct answer. There’s a tiebreaker if any of
the teams are tied after the last question. The tiebreaker’s a little
tougher, so you could have the team with the closest answer be the winner.
