“Celebrity Panel” Instructions

The Concept: A panel consisting of six people will answer fill-in-the-blank questions and the remaining players will try to match their answers.

Items Needed: Pens, blank paper, worksheet (included as a separate PDF file).

Instructions: Six people will need to be chosen to make up the celebrity panel that will come and sit in a row of chairs at the front of the room. You can have the six people make up which celebrity they are supposed to be, have them choose from a hat some celebrities you wrote down ahead of time, or you could just decide that being chosen from the group to come to the front makes them a celebrity in their own right. The six will need to have 12 pieces of paper each (1 for each question) and something to write with. Black markers work well so that the rest of the class can see what answer they have written when they hold it up.

Each question is a fill-in-the-blank question with no right or wrong answer. The panel will write down their answer on the piece of paper without letting the rest of the group see what they are writing. The remaining players will write their answers on the worksheet. After everyone is done writing down an answer, the panel will one by one show their answers to the group. On their worksheet, the non-celebrities will put a check mark or ‘X’ in the box under the chairs that they matched answers with. At the bottom of their sheet they can total up their points to see how they did. The panel does not earn points since celebrity status is their reward.

Scoring: One point for each correct answer. There’s a tiebreaker if any of the teams are tied after the last question.
