“I Will Survive” Instructions

The Concept: The group will vote on the best action to take in various life and death scenarios and try to make it through 12 questions without losing the four lives they are given at the beginning of the game.

Items Needed: None.

Instructions: For this game, your whole group is on the same team. They vote on which answer they want to pick for each question and the majority rules. For each question the group is trying to guess which action would be the best to take in the given scenario. At the beginning of the game the group is given four lives. Depending on which answer the group chooses for each question, they will either advance to the next question unscathed, or lose a half or whole life. The object of the games is to make it through the twelve questions with at least half a life left. If you group runs out of lives, the game is technically over, but you can continue playing so they get a chance to play through all the questions.

This game is different from most others in the way that you navigate through the game. Instead of just clicking or pressing the space bar to move to the next slide, the person controlling the presentation will need to move the mouse over the answer that the group chooses and click. The answers are linked to screens that show how the group did in choosing their answer: Good choice (green screen); Could have been better (yellow); or Uh, that was bad (red).

Scoring: The group will start with four lives and subtract half a life for every yellow screen they come to and subtract a whole life for each red screen. You will need to keep track of your lives separately. There is a survival rating at the end of the game that shows what kind of survivors you have in your group.
