“Normal Numbers ” Instructions

The Concept: Players will see how close they can get to the correct number when answering questions about things we see around us, but may not pay attention to.

Items Needed: Worksheet (included as a separate PDF file)

Instructions: This game can be a team game or an individual game. To play it as an individual game, pass out the worksheets and have the players fill in their answers as each question is shown. To play it as a team game, split your group into teams and give each team a worksheet to record their answers as a group.

The answer to each question will be shown on the following screen. The players will write down the correct answer in the column next to their answer and work out the difference between the two. They then place the difference in the final column which becomes their score. There are two “Addition Intermissions” during the game (after the 4th and 8th questions) where the players can add up their score so far to make it a little easier coming up with the final tally. The object of the game is to end up with a low score.

Scoring: The players write down the amount they were away from the correct answer for their score. The final screens of the game put players into categories based on how they scored.
